Casey is dedicated to nurturing clear, resonant writing while respecting each writer’s voice and style

Casey Decker, aka The Meticulous Type, has been writing and editing throughout her careers as an editor and former attorney. She is a graduate of the University of Washington’s Editing Certificate Program and was a teaching assistant for the school’s copyediting class. Casey is a member of the Northwest Editors Guild, the Editorial Freelancers Association, and ACES.

Casey enjoys working on a wide variety of projects with individuals, as well as nonprofit and for-profit organizations. These projects have included fiction and nonfiction books for adults and children; short stories and novellas; legal documents; reports; marketing materials; business proposals; websites; blogs; fellowship and grant applications; resumes and CVs; and newsletters. Casey is proficient in The Chicago Manual of Style, AP Stylebook, and The Bluebook.

She strives to help clients draw on their strengths and come away energized about their projects.
