Casey Decker, aka The Meticulous Type, has been writing and editing throughout her careers as an editor and former attorney. She is a graduate of the University of Washington’s Editing Certificate Program and was a teaching assistant for the school’s copyediting class. Casey is a member of the Northwest Editors Guild, the Editorial Freelancers Association, ACES, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and The Association for Women in Communications.
Casey enjoys working on a wide variety of projects with individuals, as well as nonprofit and for-profit organizations. These projects have included fiction and nonfiction books for adults and children, short stories, memoirs, magazines, newsletters, marketing materials, academic textbooks, websites, blogs, legal documents, press releases, grant/fellowship applications, and resumes. Casey is proficient in The Chicago Manual of Style, AP Stylebook, and The Bluebook.
She strives to help clients draw on their strengths and come away energized about their projects.
